Fulham manager Roy Hodgson is understood to be eyeing up a move for Brazilian full-back Felipe Lopes, who plays for Portuguese outfit Nacional.
The Cottagers have reportedly made a bid for the left-back, according to the Daily Mail, with Portsmouth also in the hunt.
Lopes, 21, starred for Nacional as the club finished fourth in the Portuguese top flight this season.
The player is under contract until the summer of 2011 but could now be set for a move to the Premier League.
